Jason from P2P said they're still short preorder-wise, apparently people reacted badly to the whole FAST action battles and got Bulge thinking it was going to be Combat-Commander-like in terms of lenght. Still...I've got Bulge but haven't played it yet. Now I've got my head focused on ASL but there are some interesting preorders out there,
I have my eye on GMT's
Crown of Roses
Red Winter
Sekigahara
Space Empires
The Supreme Commander
Plus the reprints of Reds! and Fields of Fire
I'm also waiting for MMP to reprint Guderian's Blitzkrieg II to make my entrance into the whole OCS-thing
L2 is also reprinting Breakout Normandy and it's a must have...
Sturm Europa from Academy Games seems promising, and so does Guns of Gettysburg from Simmons Games...

WHERE EAGLES DARE by MMP, just so we can link it up with THE DEVIL'S CAULDRON and have the ultimate Market-Garden game. Looking forward to Decision Games' update of their 2nd Edition of WACHT AM RHEIN (hopefully streamlined a bit) and the companion monster game on the Hurtgen Forest. Also eagerly anticipating FESTUNG BUDAPEST HASL and ASL Hakkaa Päälle core module covering the Finns. The Budapest game is the most varied of all the urban warfare HASL modules and who doesn't want more of the Finns than we already have?

Where Eagle Dare might well be on my radar as I missed out on DC.Guderians Blitzkrieg does seem sizable/meaty. The OCS system is intriguing. Supply and movement is dealt with quite differently from Most games. I have Tunisia. Really need to give that game another outing!

A few new releases I'm looking forward to are: Victoria Cross II from Worthington Nuklear Winter from Lock'n'Load And a few older ones I want to pick up such as Manoeuvre and Warriors of God. Big time block gamer though so all of the above title will be a nice change. Great site, btw!

Daniele reading your post from 1st Feb regarding getting MMP's Guderian's Blitzkrieg II as an entry into the OCS system.Having played the game and the system I would not recommend it as an entry level game. You would be much better off starting off with Tunisia (if you can still get a copy) or Baltic Gap.These are smaller games in the series and much more manageable.

I have the following on pre-order: THe grand campaigns of the thirty years war (the most fascinating war to me). FAB Sicily (can't believe it still has no more pre-orders). No Retreat Deluxe Edition (promises to be great, fast and very playable WW2 eastfront game. This Accursed civil war (reprint of the first module in the musket and pike battle series which I am a HUGE fan of) Cant remember what else I have on pre-order but I am very much considering getting into Conflict of heroes.. have to play it a few more times to decide..

Hey Russell, I have Tunisia and can testify to that... a smaller (not small though) game.. particularly interesting.

Might break a golden rule and place my first preorder for Fab Sicily. Whats the p500 number now?

FAB sicily has 473 preorders right now. It can use all the help it can get in reaching 500 or it might never see the light of day and that would be the end of the series. Rick Young has said that.

Why do you think this series is struggling for interest?? I found FAB Bulge the easiest of games to recommend. Im currently blowing the dust off Shifting Sands but I think Ill do a video review of FAB Bulge soon... see if I can alter the status quo in my own meagre little way!

I dont know why the pre-orders are not flowing in exactly.. I mean they should when you take into account the quality of FAB Bulge and the good reputation Rick Young has a designer.

Maybe there just is not enough info put out about this game.. but really I can not explain it..

Currently waiting for:-

Expansion to Battle for Normandy-after all, if the game has 5 maps already, an extra 2,plus 400-500 counters doint seem that bad!
MMPs card driven Crusader game-I'm a sucker for CDGs as this looks amazing!
GMTs Reds-had this a while back, needs to be played again.Very good Russian Civil war game by Ted Raicer.
Clash of Arms Napoleonic game-where you start as a lowly junior officer at the start of the Nappy wars, but can rise/get promoted by participating in major campaigns.Seems like a role playing game, which I also enjoy!

I'm positively salivating at the thought of the soon to be released Fighting Formations: Grossdeutschland Infantry Division.
Chad Jensen's latest design for GMT promises to be a feast of innovative mechanics and tanks. I love tanks, me.
